Kashi Krunch

November 9, 2008 · Leave a Comment

I just had a pretty good workout at the gym and am eating a quick breakfast/brunch before going off to school to get that intercultural communication course back in line. As a bonus I found out that the Kashi GoLean! Crunch cereal I am eating has like 9g of protein per serving. My coworkers give me a hard time when they see that my breakfast consists of a quart of milk every morning and that my lunch is usually cottage cheese.

It’s a moderately nice day out today and if I didn’t have so much school work to do, I’d probably try and get my new hydrangeas planted before the rain resumes. But I consider my crappy backyard much improved just because the chocolate mums and rhododendron auriculatum finally got planted and seems to be recovering from nearly a year in a much too small pot.

Plants and Pups make the best of friends I’ve come to realize and are otherwise much preferable to human beings. This is perhaps the most important life lesson I’ve made in three years in the Western wilderness.

Resurgent

So things are not quite so bad as I thought they were you know. I got an A on my communications midterm in one of my classes, am doing quite well in my negotiations class, and well.. the intercultural communication class is still a work in progress.

At work, things are going pretty well, though my job always has its worries and anxieties. I’m looking to hire a new teller and that is always exciting and nerve-wracking because of the potential for success or failure.

I had the sneak opportunity to go home for the weekend the week before last and it was absolutely amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed being at home and getting to be with my family and my dogs. I miss them so much and can’t wait for Christmas!

Since I am slowly restoring order to my life after a very tumultuous October, I feel like I will be able to resume posting regularly here. It was raining like it does in Houston this morning, but now it is sunny out.
